Family First Resources Week Eleven

Challenge One – Use a scarf to play Catch. Allow plenty of room and a scarf to cover eyes.  Ring a Rosie or Duck, Duck Goose are other games you could play.  Special attention – This game needs plenty of adult supervision.

Challenge Two – Design a poster of one special power you would like to have e.g. Super strength or Speed

This is a competition – staff will judge the entries and a special prize with be awarded to the winner!!

Challenge Three – Pass the Parcel

Okay so this one takes a little preparation but it’s such a huge hit with younger children that I had to include it on our list. Before playing, purchase a small, inexpensive prize or just something that you know your child will love i.e. sweets and then wrap it in lots of layers of paper – recycled wrapping paper or newspaper are great. You’ll want at least one layer per child. To play, have the children sit in a circle, passing the wrapped parcel around the circle while you play some fun music. When the music stops, the child holding the parcel removes the outer layer of paper. Start the music again and continue until one child unwraps the final layer of paper to reveal their prize.

Or with one child play Paper Boat Race.
