Safe Place is a simple way for any organisation, business or community to provide information and signposting for anyone affected by domestic abuse.

Women’s Aid ABCLN established established Onus as a social enterprise in 2007. Onus offers specialist training and consultancy services on domestic abuse.

As a Safe Place Partner with Onus we deliver Safe Place training and encourage organisations across Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne and Newtownabbey to become a Safe Place for anyone affected by domestic abuse.

Join us, become a Safe Place and help us raise awareness about domestic abuse and the range of support services available.

  • Support the pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about domestic abuse
  • Acknowledge domestic abuse is a problem that impacts on all of us as a society, and will be prepared to play your part in supporting those affected and sending a clear message to perpetrators that domestic abuse is intolerable
  • Provide a Safe Place for  ANYONE  affected by domestic violence to confidentially access information
To become a Safe Place organisations simply attend a Safe Place awareness raising session or  Safe Place Webinar and following this display the Safe Place logo and resources on your premises or online platforms.

The Safe Place logo  indicates that information on services for anyone affected by domestic violence and abuse is available on the premises. Organisations will not have to do anything beyond signposting people to the appropriate services.
