Become A ‘Safe Place’ for Anyone Affected by Domestic Abuse

Could your organisation become a Safe Place for anyone affected by domestic abuse? The Safe Place initiative is a simple way for organisations to provide information and signposting to anyone affected by domestic abuse.

Safe Place is supported by a wide range of businesses, retailers, employers, schools, community groups, sports clubs and churches.

Women’s Aid ABCLN Communications Officer, Arlene Creighton says “Any organisation can become a Safe Place. Join us for our online Safe Place information sessions during October and help raise awareness about domestic abuse.”

“Following Safe Place training, your will have the opportunity to register your organisation as a Safe Place and will be provided with a supply of Safe Place resources.”

“As a register Safe Place you will display the Safe Place logo. This indicates that information on services for anyone affected by domestic abuse is available on the premises and you can signpost people to the appropriate services.”

“With one in four women affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime, staying silent is not an option. We want anyone affected by domestic abuse to know that you are not alone, Women’s Aid ABCLN is here for you and help is available.

Safe Place information sessions will take place on Tuesday 20th, Wednesday 21st and Friday 23rd October online from 11am -12.30pm.
